Finland. To me Finland is a real marvel of Nature with many minerals, exciting wildlife and deep dark untouched forests. In last century – a new breathtaking mineral was found there, on mountaintops that were hiding deep in the woods. They called it Spectrolite – a gemstone with all colors of specter that are hiding inside the black matrix of the rock. It’s the only known place on Earth to possess this gemstone! Several Summers ago I went to Finland. And I brought back some of that colorful dark mysterious stone. I cut it, form it and sometimes incorporate it into my jewelry. I hope that now you’re thirsty for discoveries as well?

Deep blue spectrolites are hiding in these copper rings. Remaining one is 17,1 mm in diameter (Lithuanian size 17). Interestingly, someone called these “tiny ponds” and that’s the best description of these wonderful rings – tiny lovely mystical ponds!

Several Summers ago I went to Finland. Traveled to a remote town with barely 20 – 50 scattered houses. Went off-road in the direction of Spectrolite quarries. And after the arduous trip – found the Spectrolite quarry on top of a hill. It was the the evening of last days of Summer, the air stood still, nothing moved, no sound, only pristine nature. That was the calmest and clearest place on Earth I have been to. Still nothingness intertwined with ultimate inner completeness.
